2025 State of Iowa Hand Corn Husking Competition

Indian Creek Historical Society is proud to have hosted the State of Iowa Corn Husking Competition  September 20th 2025. More information on the Corn Husking national contest.

    

    2025 Events

  •  Monthly Breakfast is held the fourth Sunday of every month 8am till noon. Holiday dates may vary. With rising food costs, the Board of Directors asks for a suggested minimum donation of $12 per adult and $5 per child.              
  • Membership Drive Jan through March 2025
    Members can join at any time. Member fees are $10 for an individual or a family membership is $15.
  • Volunteers are needed to be museum hosts:
    The museum needs volunteers to open/ host the museum Thursday 10a – 2pm, Friday 10a – 2p, Saturday 10a – 2p, and Sunday 12p – 4p. Please consider being a host. For more information contact Bill McGrew at 712-370-7150
  • CORN BOIL   Sunday July 13, 2025 at the Indian Creek Museum.  There will be oat harvest with horse drawn equipment all afternoon.  There will be a free kid’s pedal tractor pull starting at 4 PM.  The corn boil and grilled pork chop dinner starts at 5 PM for a freewill donation.  Thanks for supporting the Indian Creek Museum. 
  • Corn Husking 2025 The state of Iowa hand cornhusking event was held at Indian Creek Historical Society Saturday September 20th.

  • Antique tractor pulls were at the Museum August 1st & 2nd as well as September 7th.
